About Us

The Jesuit Research and Development Society (JRDS) is a social initiative with pan India presence helping poor people live with dignity through education and vocational training. It helps people live to their fullest potential at every stage of their lives. JRDS has been working since 2006 serving people living in economically and socially devastating conditions to build resilience for themselves, their families and their community. We work in two segments under the JRDS umbrella: one area focuses on human rights and law, capacity building, and research-related activity, while the other section focuses on social development activities. This Unit is known as Caring through Sharing.

About Us

  Caring through Sharing is the development wing of the Jesuit Research and Development Society (JRDS), a prominent social initiative having a widespread presence across India in 15 states.

Our mission is to empower underprivileged individuals, enabling them to lead dignified lives through education and vocational training. Dedicated to nurturing human potential at every life stage, Caring through Sharing has been making a meaningful impact since its inception in 2006.

Operating amid economically and socially challenging conditions, we are committed to building resilience within communities. We operate in two distinct segments within the JRDS framework. One segment is dedicated to human rights and law, capacity building, and research-related activities, while our flagship unit, focused on social development activities and emphasizing collaborative efforts for societal advancement, is known as Caring through Sharing.

Ecology & Environment

Promoting eco-conservation through tree plantation, waste management, and eco-consciousness - Impacting over 300,000 children in 23 states via 30,000+ eco programs and also thousands of farmers.

 Peace & Reconciliation

Promoting peace, dialogue and reconciliation through 42 units and 66 partners, benefiting 50,000+ children and community members.



   Migrants Welfare

Providing aid to migrants across India via a national helpline, offering legal, healthcare, and social support for their safety and well-being - Serving 5,000+ beneficiaries in 14 states through 20+ centres and 60 partners.

   Refugee Services

Committed to work for the benefit 53,000+ refugees from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, etc., in 13 locations.


   Mining & Minerals

Promoting responsible mining practices, environmental sustainability, workers’ rights, and equitable benefits for the mining communities - Impacting 60,000+ beneficiaries through three centres and 40 network partners.

   Social Protection

Reducing poverty and supporting vulnerable groups, including women, girls, and widows, through healthcare and financial aid - Helping over 325,000 individuals in 15 states, with 155 network partners and 803 community projects.

 Accompanying Youth

Guiding and mentoring youth for personal growth, leadership, and community engagement — Impacting 70,000+ youth in 20 states through 7 dedicated centres.
