Photography and Videography for Website and Social Media: JRDS Website Education Series – Session 1

The Jesuit Research and Development Society (JRDS) organized the first session of its Website Education Series, titled “Photography and Videography for Website and Social Media,” for its partners on March 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The session was facilitated by Fr. Roy and Mr. Antony Glenn Gomez, who shared practical insights on how photography and videography can strengthen digital communication and storytelling. The training highlighted the importance of effective visuals in enhancing website content and increasing engagement on social media platforms. Participants were introduced to techniques for capturing high-quality photographs and videos of events, people, and meetings, and learned how visual content can be used strategically to communicate impact and organizational stories.

A total of 41 participants attended the session and learned useful techniques for capturing high-quality photos and videos, framing visual content for different platforms, and presenting stories in a compelling way to highlight impact. The session also introduced participants to simple photo and video editing applications, including both free and paid tools, that can be used to improve the quality of digital content. Interactive activities included reviewing examples of good and poor photographs to understand the elements of effective visual communication, as well as a live demonstration of editing tools. The session provided participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and gain practical knowledge to strengthen their digital outreach and communication efforts.
