UNITED FOR GOOD: JRDS Hosts Its 1st CSR Conclave

On December 20th, the Jesuit Research and Development Society (JRDS-DP) proudly hosted its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conclave, “UNITED FOR GOOD”, at the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi. The event was a dynamic platform that brought together corporate leaders, CSR professionals, and community partners to spark conversations around sustainable development, social impact, and corporate responsibility.

With 20 esteemed CSR leaders in attendance, the conclave featured engaging panel discussions across four critical themes: Ecology, Environment & Sustainability; Education & Skill Development; Health & Rare Diseases; and Technology & Cyber Security.

The day began with an inspiring welcome address by Dr. Sebasti L. Raj, Director of the Conference Development Office, followed by the keynote speech from Dr. Santhosh Mathew, Country Lead, Public Policy & Finance at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, who graced the event as Chief Guest.

Panel Discussions: Insights That Inspire Action

    The first panel delved into urgent topics such as ecology, climate change, and disaster preparedness. Industry leaders shared actionable insights on integrating sustainability into corporate strategies, leveraging renewable energy sources, and fostering community collaboration for scalable solutions.

    In alignment with NEP 2020, the second panel explored how CSR initiatives can revolutionize education through inclusivity, equity, and technology-driven learning. Discussions highlighted digital literacy, vocational training, and preparing communities for a tech-driven future.
  3. Addressing Rare Diseases
    The third panel brought attention to rare diseases, focusing on the importance of awareness, diagnosis, and accessible treatment. Speakers emphasized the role of CSR in funding research, collaborating with healthcare institutions, and creating inclusive healthcare systems.
  4. Bridging the Digital Divide
    The final discussion highlighted the critical need for cybersecurity awareness in underserved communities. Panelists presented innovative strategies to promote digital safety, foster inclusive digital growth, and build a resilient online ecosystem.
