Thanks to your support, lives are changing in Chowdalli village, Mundgod, India. Netra is a strong and determined mother of three from the Vaddar community who used to work as a daily wage labourer and at brick kilns to support her family.

Things started to change in 2022 when she joined the Sustainable Development Program by the Karnataka Jesuits and Loyola Vikasa Kendra (LVK). Through the program, she received training in entrepreneurship and a small loan to start her own garland-making business.

Netra didn’t stop there. With growing confidence, she also began rearing sheep and running a small dairy. Now, she not only earns a steady income and supports her family, but also supports other women in her village to become self-reliant. She dreams of taking her business online someday.
