India has made progress in addressing gender inequality, but significant challenges remain—from early marriage and low workforce participation to limited political representation and widespread gender-based violence.

Lok Manch, a partner of Caring Through Sharing, is a community-driven platform supported by over 100 organizations across 16 states. It is working to change this by empowering marginalized communities—especially women—through microfinance, skills training, legal awareness, and improved access to education, healthcare, and sanitation.

Lok Manch’s efforts aim to build a more equitable society by promoting gender balance, financial independence, and leadership among women.
