The Migrant Assistance & Information Network (MAIN), a partner of Caring Through Sharing, celebrated International Labour Day on May 1, 2025, at the Indian Social Institute, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The event brought together around 150 people, including migrant workers, community members, and supporters. Its purpose was to honour the hard work of labourers and highlight the importance of fair treatment, respect, and rights for all workers.

The program featured short talks, cultural performances, and personal stories from workers who shared their daily struggles and hopes. Speakers emphasized the need for better wages, safer working conditions, and increased support for migrant workers in cities.

A representative from MAIN said, “We are thankful to everyone who joined us. This day is a reminder that every worker deserves respect, safety, and fair opportunities.”

The event concluded with a collective pledge to continue efforts towards building a just and equitable environment for workers across the country.
