MAIN Celebrates Migrants’ Day with Empowerment and
Education in Keshavpuram

Migrants’ Day was joyously celebrated by the Migrant Assistance and Information Network (MAIN), a partner of Caring Through Sharing, an initiative of JRDS development programs, in the heart of the Keshavpuram slum in East Delhi. The event, led by MAIN’s Director, Dr. Martin, and team member Ms. Babita, aimed to recognize the significance of migrants in society and educate them about their rights.

The event kicked off with a warm welcome, followed by refreshments provided to the attendees. The highlight of the celebration was the enlightening discussions on migrant safety, where crucial messages were shared to enhance awareness and promote a secure environment for the migrant community. Approximately 70 people, including children, participated in the event, and various programs and activities were organized throughout the day to keep the participants entertained and engaged.

Migrants’ Day is not just a celebration; it is an opportunity to empower and educate our migrant brothers and sisters about their rights and safety,” remarked Dr. Martin. “Our aim is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where migrants feel acknowledged and protected.
